Lakme Fashion Week has sounded the sirens for its runways this October, and we’re pumped to get into all things fashion-frenzy with an array of stellar collections steaming up the atmosphere. Day 4 was not at all far behind with its energetic presentations, and here is a complete roundup of all the deets:
Payal Singhal’s rooted yet global collection titled ‘Painterly’ featured a dazzling array of versatile pairings in a multitude of fits including everything from joyful lehenga sets, her signature kalidar sharraras, to tie-back cholis and pants with tie-up half lehengas. Crafted for the woman of today and inspired by art, in particular Mughal architecture and miniature paintings, the lineup was as colourful as it was technically sound, featuring zardozi, mukaish, bandhani and woollen thread work. The designer even revisited her own paintings, translating them into lush fabrics for the collection.
