ABOUT PAYAL SINGHAL
Payal Singhal grew up in an environment steeped in fashion, films and art. She hails from a design family - her grandfather is renowned artist and photographer J.P. Singhal, and her father is designer and entrepreneur Dinesh Singhal of London Fashions. Creative thinking is not just in her DNA, but was also an essential component of her upbringing.

Born in Mumbai, Singhal was drawn to sketching and designing from an early age. She created her first couture look at the young age of 15. Her talent received much adulation as she was awarded the 'Designer of the Year Award' by Shopper's Stop, and her winning look was worn by then Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Singhal further honed her skills by graduating in fashion design from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. She also pursued summer school at The Parsons School of Design, New York and certificate design courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York before launching her eponymous label in 1999.

Singhal is an industry innovator focused on building a brand that is accessible, relevant and forward thinking.

"I've always been passionate about giving traditional wear contemporary relevance. The quintessential #PSGirl is cool, confident and a connoisseur of art and culture."
